TRAVERSE CITY — During the last city commissioners meeting, Interim City Manager Benjamin Marentette received a review of how he has been doing so far, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.

Marentette tells us ”They were very heartened to see that I’m working very hard to, establish trust between the city commission and the city manager and therefore the staff by having routine, candid, clear, honest conversations throughout the organization. ”

While he did receive some criticism, it was due to concern he may over work himself.

Marentette says that he has been encouraged to keep doing the things that he’s been doing to hit a reset button on his day.

He even shared plans for the future of the city by switching it to a multiyear budgeting forecast.
