DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — Daviess County Prosecutor's Office announce that Abel Dubon-Castillo was found guilty of murder, attempted murder, burglary, and intimidation by a Daviess County jury after a seven-day trial.

The charges related to the murder of Aracely Torres and the attempted murders of Yarely Santiago-Torres and Concepcion Rodriguez-Martinez in February 2024.

On September 22nd, Judge Dan Murrie sentenced Dubon-Castillo to 150 years in prison.

Prosecuting Attorney Abby Brown praised the Washington Police Department for their thorough investigation.

"This was a large scale investigation with many moving parts," Brown said.

She highlighted the involvement of the State Police and the Knox County High Tech Crime Unit in processing the scene and digital evidence.
