WASHINGTON (DC News Now) -- D.C. police arrested a man accused of hitting someone with a rock.
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said that officers arrested 47-year-old Joseph Norris of Southeast, D.C. on Saturday.
When officers responded to the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and M Street, Southeast, for an assault around 6:10 p.m., the victim told officers that Norris had thrown a rock through a window in the 1500 block of Pennsylvania Ave.
The victim went outside to confront the individual. That's when they said that Norris hit them in the hands with a rock.
MPD charged Norris with assault with a dangerous weapon (rock).
