LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) - A Palo woman has been charged after police say she was driving drunk with two children in the vehicle.
Dawn Stiffin, of Palo, was charged with child endangerment and driving under the influence after allegedly driving drunk with two children in the vehicle on Saturday.
Police initiated a traffic stop at Blairs Ferry Road and 1st Street and noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from Stiffin.
An 11-year-old and 12-year-old were passengers in the vehicle, according to police.
Police say Stiffin would not complete sobriety tests but later submitted a chemical breath test that revealed a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.
