An Australian man has been arrested for alleged online child sexual abuse offences, including livestreaming sexually explicit material in the Philippines.

South Australia’s elite child protection unit JACET raided the Adelaide home of the 68-year-old man on Monday, seizing several electronic devices, including hard drives and mobile phones.

In a statement, the police said they had found hundreds of videos and images containing explicit material of young victims.

The man has been charged with one count of possessing child abuse material.

“Police allege the man communicated with overseas-based victims and facilitators via social media platforms to engage minors in the live streaming of sexually explicit activity,” the police said.
