Faith instruction vital to a safe society
The horrific evil of another school shooting in Minneapolis leaves us saddened and bewildered. But is it any wonder, when people are bankrupt of values, that they have no self-control? Secular educators and politicians have sought to amputate the teaching of right and wrong by removing God from the public sphere. “Separation of church and state” is the tired phrase used to justify bankrupting children of moral standards.
“Soul searching” (Aug. 23) criticizes LifeWise Academy (a parentally approved released time from school for religious instruction), calling it a “deep-seated process of religious indoctrination” and “targeting children for Christian nationalist recruitment.” Never mind its purpose is to instill spiritual values.
