GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - President Donald Trump is calling for pregnant women to no longer take acetaminophen, mainly branded as Tylenol, because of its potential link to autism.

That recommendation is backed by the Food and Drug Administration, as well as other federal medical officials, including Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Several changes are expected to come following Monday’s press conference, where federal officials detailed the possible connection between taking acetaminophen while pregnant and the increased chances of having a child with autism.

“The FDA will issue a physician’s notice about the risk of acetaminophen during pregnancy and begin the process to initiate a safety label change,” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said.
