BALTIMORE — The Detroit Lions got their teeth kicked in the last time they came to Baltimore. There was no chance it was going to happen again.

David Montgomery ran for 151 yards on 12 carries with two touchdowns and the Lions sacked Lamar Jackson seven times to avenge the second-most lopsided loss of the Dan Campbell era from 2023 with a thrilling, 38-30, win over the Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium.

Montgomery keyed scoring drives of 98 and 96 yards and the Lions dominated time of possession and both lines of scrimmage to improve to 2-1 on the season and tie the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings for first place in the NFC North. According to the broadcast of the game, the Ravens had not allowed a scoring drive of 95 or more yards since 2001 before Monday.
