A person was taken to the hospital with a serious leg injury after a chainsaw accident in Canterbury on Monday night.

The Canterbury Volunteer Fire Company said they responded to Lisbon Road around 5 p.m. for reports of a person with a leg injury from a chainsaw.

First responders requested Lifestar, who transported the person to a hospital in Rhode Island for treatment.
