Angela Shand has racked up more than 50 offences against authority figures

A prolific criminal who has racked up 60 court appearances - many for offences against police officers - has had more time added to her original sentence for telling the judge “**** you”.

Angela Shand also raised her middle finger from the dock at Nottingham Crown Court towards Judge Mark Watson when he told her he was not going to suspend the short sentence he had just passed.

The furious 53-year-old defendant shouted at him “you always do the same thing - locking innocent people up” before turning down the opportunity to apologise for her foul-mouthed outburst.

So the judge added extra jail time to what he had just imposed.
