Rumors that the surviving members of Fleetwood Mac would reunite and perform at the 60th birthday of “Harry Potter” author J.K. Rowling are not true, the band says.

“This is categorically false,” a representative for Fleetwood Mac tells Rolling Stone . “It’s not in the realm of true.”

The Guardian reports the band last played together in November 2019. Christine McVie, a vocalist, songwriter and keyboard player for the band, died in 2022 . Guitarist and vocalist Lindsey Buckingham was kicked out of the band in 2018.

Rumors of the reunion started circulating after The Daily Mail published a story saying Rowling is a huge fan of the band and wanted to surprise guests at her party with a performance by the group.
