COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Ohio State is headed west to start Big Ten play to face an opponent who was the last team it faced before Ryan Day took over the program.

The Buckeyes have faced Washington 12 times, with the most recent being in the Rose Bowl to close out the 2018 season and Urban Meyer’s tenure as head coach, walking away with a 28-23 win. But it’s been even longer since the two have met on either’s actual turf.

Offensive coordinator Brian Hartline is one of the few people in the program to know what it’s like to go into Husky Stadium as a Buckeye, with the other notable person being linebackers coach James Laurinaitis .
