Akshay Kumar has spoken out strongly against a fake film trailer that recently went viral. The video, created using artificial intelligence, showed him playing the revered sage Maharishi Valmiki. Sharing a detailed note on his social media on 23 September, the actor made it clear the clip was completely fabricated.

“I have recently come across some AI-generated videos of a film trailer showing me in the role of Maharishi Valmiki. I want to clarify that all such videos are fake and created using AI,” he wrote.

What angered him more was how quickly the false clip was picked up as fact. “What’s worse, some news channels decide to pick these up as news without even verifying if these are real or morphed,” he added.
