NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Children in Tennessee are being exploited at an alarming rate, according to newly released data from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).
Currently, Tennessee has over 22,000 cases, according to the TBI.
Authorities say it’s a 140% increase since 2020.
“We’re seeing most of all is online enticement of minors using social media apps,” said Andrew Boatman, of the Tennessee Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.
