Pressure washers with a capacitor that can overheat and burst when in use have been recalled.

TTI Outdoor Power Equipment recalled two models of Ryobi brushless electric pressure washers - models RY142300 and RY142711VNM.

The number of pressure washers recalled is about 764,000.

“The pressure washer’s capacitor can overheat and burst, causing parts to be forcefully ejected, posing a risk of serious injury from impact to the user or bystanders,” according to the recall with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The pressure washers are green with a spray nozzle, a detergent tank with a blue cap and storage space for accessories.
