Green is a redshirt junior who started all 13 games for North Carolina at right tackle in 2024.

A former three-star recruit, Green has appeared in three games this season but has been in a backup role for North Carolina.

Trevyon Green is the second UNC player to leave the program in the middle of the season, joining receiver Aziah Johnson, who left the program last week.

Johnson appeared in one game and caught 1 pass for 6 yards before leaving the team.
