The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a tropical wave that could become a tropical depression this week.
The tropical wave, tagged as Invest 93-L, is producing showers and thunderstorms a little less than 1,000 miles east of the Lesser Antilles.
A tropical depression is likely to form by the latter half of this week as the system moves west-northwestward to northwestward into the western tropical Atlantic.
