While the rest of America dusts off their Ugg boots and flannel and enjoys pumpkin spice lattes, fall in New Orleans is still pretty warm — and a perfect time to eat a sno-ball.

Summer may technically be over, but hurricanes are still brewing and I'm still sweating on my daily walk to work. And with many sno-ball stands preparing to limit hours or closes in the upcoming weeks, I thought it to be the perfect time to try my first sno-ball as a New Orleans resident.

Eve though I've lived here for nearly two years, I did not take advantage of my first sno-ball season, and felt it a disservice to myself and the community.
