Priscilla Williams-Till , a cousin of Emmett Till and founder of the Emmett Till Justice for Families Foundation, has launched her campaign for the U.S. Senate in Mississippi.

According to WAPT , Williams-Till announced that she would be running as a Democrat, challenging Republican incumbent Cindy Hyde-Smith in the 2026 election, which is scheduled for November 3. Primaries are set for March 10.
