The body of a 20-year-old University of Houston student who went missing last week has been found.

According to PEOPLE , the body of Jade McKissic , who was last seen on September 11, was found on Monday (September 15) near 4998 Spur 5 in Brays Bayou.

McKissic, known by family and friends as “Sage,” was last seen leaving the 3700 block of Macgregor Way wearing a black tank top and black shorts. She was a junior majoring in Strategic Communications and Advertising, a member of the 2025 UH Orientation team, and a front desk assistant on campus.

The University of Houston confirmed McKissic’s death occurred off-campus and is under active investigation by the Houston Police Department.
