A woman wanted in connection with the death of her 2-year-old child in North Carolina was arrested in Wethersfield on Monday.

Rajasaffiyya Drain, 28, was taken into custody after officers responded to an undisclosed location in town at 6:20 p.m. on the report of a domestic-related incident, according to the Wethersfield Police Department .

Drain was charged as a fugitive from justice after police discovered authorities from the Bertie County Sheriff’s Office in North Carolina had a warrant out for her arrest in connection with a homicide. She was held on a $1 million bond and was expected to face a judge on Tuesday in New Britain Superior Court.
