Packers' Josh Jacobs dealing with a super concerning rushing stat

Josh Jacobs was an absolute star in his first season with the Green Bay Packers .

But he hasn't quite run it back the same way so far through three weeks of the 2025 season.

Jacobs ranks dead last in the NFL in rush yards over expected this season, according to Packers writer Wendell Ferreira .

The stat, created by the NFL's Next Gen Stats, accounts for the offensive line and the defense along with the space on the field on a given play to assign an expected value to each run.

And right now, Jacobs has run for negative-53 rushing yards relative to expectation.

That's, um, not good.
