The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks is draining a lake for repairs and while there is still access, fishers can keep all the fish they can catch.

"It's a high-hazard dam," said Caleb Covington, MDWFP state fishing lake coordinator. "It has a slough on the outside of the levee. It needs to be drained to make emergency repairs."

The lake is Lake Tom Bailey and it's located in Toomsuba, 8 miles east of Meridian on U.S. 11. It's a 182-acre lake lake that has produced trophy fish . The lake record for largemouth bass is 10.06 pounds and the the lake record for channel catfish is 51.75 pounds, which is also the state record.
