An infant died at a Twin Cities daycare Monday, according to authorities.

The death happened at the Rocking Horse Ranch Childcare facility in Savage and is under investigation by the Savage Police Department and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

In a statement Tuesday morning, police said the infant's identity is being publicly withheld pending preliminary autopsy results to determine the cause and manner.

While police have not indicated what caused the infant's death, the department is encouraging other families to be on the lookout any warning signs suggesting their child might be at risk.
