An Aurora man has agreed to an 11-year sentence in state prison for sexually assaulting a minor he connected with on Snapchat, according to a news release from the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office.

In court, Kane County Assistant State’s Attorney Morgan Wilkinson said that, between Jan. 1, 2024, and Oct. 31, 2024, Adolfo U. Garcia, 27, used Snapchat to connect with a minor who told Garcia she was 16 years old, the release said.

She met Garcia in person, where, per the news release from the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office, he provided her with alcohol and marijuana and sexually assaulted her, knowing she was under the influence and unable to give consent, the release said.
