Niles officials announced that Frank Lindbloom was tapped to be the north suburban town’s village manager, calling him a “seasoned public administration executive” with nearly 30 years of experience working for several city of Chicago departments.

The announcement was made ahead of the Village Board meeting Tuesday where the board would vote on his hire. Lindbloom would officially start in the role as of Oct. 15. His salary was not immediately available.

“Frank comes to Niles with a strong financial background, labor management experience, and he and his family are very familiar with the area,” mayor George Alpogianis stated in the village news release announcing Lindbloom being selected for the role.
