The Carolina Panthers are coming off their first win of the season after a 30-0 shutout victory over the Atlanta Falcons. If they want to make it two in a row when they visit the New England Patriots on Sunday, though, they’ll need to do it without one of their key pieces.

Tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders suffered a high ankle sprain in the fourth quarter when a Falcons defender fell on him. Sanders is expected to miss multiple weeks, according to The Athletic’s Joe Person .

Tommy Tremble, Carolina’s No. 2 tight end, will likely fill in for his injured teammate.

Sanders’ 11 catches for 92 receiving yards is the second-most on the team.
