DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) — A homicide investigation is underway in Durham after a man was killed in a shooting on Tuesday morning, according to the Durham Police Department.

Durham police said officers responded to the report of gunshots at the 1900 block of Capps Street at approximately 9:43 a.m. on Tuesday.

According to Durham police, officers arrived and found an adult man with a gunshot wound. Durham police said the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Durham police said investigators are still on the scene determining the circumstances surrounding the incident.
