NORTH BENNINGTON — The damage to the Henry Bridge has been fully repaired as of Friday September 19.

According to Jonah Spivak, communications coordinator for the Town of Bennington, the work was completed by Vermont Barns out of Dover.

Vermont Barns specializes in timber frame builds such as custom barns and barn style homes, crafted using "century old hand-cutting techniques." They bring over 40 years of experience to the job.

The damage originally occurred on the morning of July 28, when the operator of a AMJ Home Delivery white box truck attempted to turn into the bridge from the Ore Bed Road/Murphy Road side of the bridge, reversed, and then continued down Murphy Road without stopping to report the accident or damage.
