OSCODA – Charlevoix was able to win the Northern Michigan Football Conference Leaders Division championship last fall. The seventh ranked Rayders are favored to do the same again this year, and they showed plenty of reasons why Friday, as they handled visiting Oscoda, 49-0.

“I think Charlevoix has an outstanding team, they’re now 4-0 and they dominated the game offensively and defensively up front and their kids were big and strong,” Oscoda head coach Mark Whitley said. “They won the game in the trenches and I think they are going to win a lot of games in the trenches. They have a pretty good quarterback, and an outstanding running back. I think we ran up against a really good team on the road and we just didn’t play our best game for sure.”
