ALBANY, N.Y. (NEXSTAR) — Super express trains are about to start running along the Hudson River. Starting October 6, Metro-North will offer connections between Poughkeepsie and Grand Central Station in Manhattan within an hour-and-a-half.
"These super express trains will take you from Poughkeepsie to Grand Central in 90 minutes, and from Beacon to Grand Central in less than one hour and 15 minutes," Governor Kathy Hochul said at press conference Tuesday morning.
The new schedule includes three super-express trips from Poughkeepsie to Grand Central and vice versa, with two or three stops per trip. Five of these trains will make it in under 90 minutes:
