The aftermath of Operation Sindoor left the bordering states and families in Rajouri and Poonch severely affected by cross-border shelling. With the affected still dealing with the aftermath of the attack, Nana Patekar has stepped forward to help the victims with whatever he can.

The Nirmala Gajanan Foundation, an NGO run by actor Nana Patekar, joined hands with the Indian Army and distributed essentials to the families affected by cross-border shelling. As per HT, the NGO, in collaboration with the Indian Army, distributed a rehabilitation package worth ₹42 lakh to about 117 families.
