LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - The Metropolitan Housing Coalition has released its 2025 Housing and Utility Affordability Report on Tuesday.
The report is a collaboration between MHC and the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance.
The analysis takes into consideration not only rent and mortgage, but utility costs and other bills that affect living conditions.
Key findings of the report note that thousands of households struggle with utility unaffordability, which undercuts housing affordability and stability and has other ripple effects that negatively impact health, resilience to disaster events, economic mobility, and more.
