Broken lifts at a Midland railway station force some Birmingham-bound passengers to board trains heading AWAY from the city, a councillor said.
Worcestershire county councillor Alan Bailes highlighted the issue at Alvechurch station, saying the lifts "don't really work" and left those with disabilities or pushchairs unable to access the northbound platform.
Coun Bailes, who represents the area as an independent, said: "If you turn up and the lifts aren't working, the only way to go northbound is to get on a southbound train, change trains and get back on a northbound train.
