A man's body was mutilated before being dumped at a landfill site, a court heard.

Cumali Turhan was found dead following what prosecutors said was a fatal attack inside a bar.

The 45-year-old's remains were found in January following his death last November.

Ciprian Ilie, 45, is accused of helping clean up the scene and disposing of Mr Turhan's body.

He is also accused of helping the alleged killer Ceyhan Dinler by providing a clean set of clothes.

Mr Turhan was died on November 19 last year after an “ongoing and simmering” issue between him and Dinler.

Dinler remains on the run and is thought to have fled to Turkey, EssexLive reports.
