Man Critically Wounded in Shooting in Downtown LA

A man was critically wounded Tuesday morning in a shooting in downtown Los Angeles.

The gunfire was reported at about 4:45 a.m. Tuesday in the area of East Pico Boulevard and Central Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The victim, a man about 50 years old, was in critical condition when taken to a hospital, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman said.

No suspect description was immediately available, police said.
