HOUSTON (KIAH) — Police have released surveillance video of suspects in a car that are wanted for the murder of two men in southwest Houston two years ago.

The incident happened on Sept. 23, 2023, at the 8900 block of Bissonnet Street. Houston police officers found two men who were shot dead. They were later identified as Desmond Moore, 48, and Dester Chavez, 30.

The surveillance video shows a light gray Nissan Sentra with a broken door handle on the front passenger side door. Two men got out of the car and began shooting.

HPD said that the preliminary investigation found that Moore was the intended target of the shooting and Chavez was a bystander.
