TORONTO — Ed Robertson, k.d. lang, Tom Cochrane and Chantal Kreviazuk will be among the music stars celebrating new inductees to the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Organizers of the Legends Induction ceremony say lang will induct “Mimi on the Beach” singer-songwriter Jane Siberry while Cochrane will induct rock trio Triumph, for hits including “Lay It On the Line.”
Robertson will induct “Sugar, Sugar” co-creator Andy Kim, and Murray McLauchlan will welcome “Painted Ladies” songwriter Ian Thomas to the class of 2025.
Kevin Drew, JJ Wilde and Rêve are among other performers set for the Oct. 17 ceremony, when “Black Cars” singer-songwriter Gino Vannelli will also be inducted.
