Steven Baker , executive director of Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport/Adams Field, resigned Tuesday, and the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission accepted his resignation.

Baker was named the executive director in June of last year, a few months after the former director, Bryan Malinowski, died from injuries sustained in a shootout with federal agents.

Baker was already on paid administrative leave after a disagreement earlier this month with the commission’s chair, Patrick Schueck , over changes the Trump administration is requiring for airports that accept federal grant money, as the Arkansas Democrat Gazette explained .
