SALT LAKE CITY – The Oklahoma State Cowboys are reportedly set to fire longtime head coach Mike Gundy following a disastrous start to the 2025 season.

After a 69-3 blowout loss at Oregon, Gundy’s fate was sealed when Tulsa rolled into Boone Pickens Stadium and handed the Pokes a 19-12 loss on September 19.

Multiple outlets reported the termination on Tuesday, September 23.

His firing opens a 30-day transfer portal window for players to explore a change of scenery. The Cowboys host Baylor on September 27.
