KNOX Co., Ill. (KWQC) - A section of U.S. 150 East is closed after one person was killed in a crash in Knox County, Illinois State Police say.

An oversized load and a passenger car crashed in the 1300 block of U.S. 150 about 10:30 a.m., Illinois State Police said.

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office sent a notification from its app at 10:50 a.m. stating, U.S. Highway 150 is closed between exit 54 and Highway 12.

State Police said the road will be closed for an extended period of time.

According to deputies, delays can be expected, and drivers are asked to take an alternate route.
