South Bruce OPP say an inflatable raft mishap prompted an emergency response on the Saugeen River.
OPP say on Sunday, September 21st, at about 8:42 p.m., South Bruce OPP received a report of a person stranded along the Saugeen River after their inflatable raft had punctured.
According to OPP, about an hour into the search, officers located the individual. The Hanover Fire Department attended with a rescue vessel in order to bring them to shore, uninjured.
OPP say, “While inflatable watercrafts are a fun activity for the swimming pool, you put yourself at risk when attempting to take them down the Saugeen River or out on Lake Huron.”
