Two sitting MLAs who applied to rent out space at a Penticton-owned venue were denied.

The provincial politicians are Tara Armstrong and Dallas Brodie, who were elected as BC Conservatives in last fall’s election. Earlier in 2025, Brodie was ejected for questioning residential school burial claims, and Armstrong quit the party shortly after.

They have since formed their own party called OneBC. They want to do away with UNDRIP and the Indian Act and “unite all British Columbians under one law and political framework,” according to the party platform.

Armstrong and Brodie will be in Penticton next week, but not at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre where they originally planned.
