Disney is raising the price of its streaming services in October, a hike that comes as the company prepares to bring back its biggest Hollywood star, late-night comedian Jimmy Kimmel this week.
Starting next month, a basic Disney+ plan with ads will be raised to $11.99 per month, with a premium subscription with no ads running customers $18.99 per month.
A source familiar with the streamer confirmed to The Hill the increase, which had been in the works before Kimmel's show was pulled off the air on Wednesday, would be communicated to customers this week.
