CHICO — Five months after being fired from the Chico Police Department for on-duty sexual relations, Michael Williams took a position at a residential program for at-risk youth in Bend, Oregon.

Williams began working with J Bar J Youth Services on June 9, and separated from the nonprofit on Friday, said Scott Parr, the organization’s HR director. The day Williams separated from the youth camp, Sept. 19, is the same day this newspaper reported his termination by Chico police.

Parr declined to verify if the separation was voluntary or involuntary, and declined to verify what Williams’ position was at the camp.
