The second-longest current coaching run in college football came to an end on Tuesday when Oklahoma State fired head coach Mike Gundy following 21 seasons in Stillwater, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports . Among active head coach coaches, only Kirk Ferentz (Iowa) has been at one school longer. Gundy led Oklahoma State to eight double-digit win seasons, including one in 2023. The Cowboys, however, have fallen off in the new-look Big 12 in the past couple years, going just 4-11 since the beginning of the 2024 season.
