Jaxson Dart ’s time is now.

The Giants are benching veteran quarterback Russell Wilson in favor of Dart, a first-round rookie quarterback, according to multiple reports.

His first game as the Giants’ new starter is Sunday at 1 p.m., at home against the Chargers, who are 3-0 and have a formidable defense.

You could tell this might be coming Monday, when Giants coach Brian Daboll said he was doing a full evaluation of his quarterback situation.

Wilson struggled in two of his first three games for the 0-3 Giants and was booed throughout Sunday night’s home opener loss to Kansas City.

Dart (not Wilson) has a chance of being the Giants’ long-term quarterback solution. So going to Dart makes sense, especially since Daboll — who is 3-17 since last year opened — desperately needs progres
