Homemade pizzas and chocolate chip cookies were the last thing Dante Hogans made for his wife and 5-year-old son before they settled in to watch the movie Elio.

"He was gentle and caring," his wife Keiona Hogans told IndyStar.

Hogans, 29, worked as a warehouse operations specialist for Cardinal Health and wanted to relax and have fun after working a full week, so after attending to his family, he went out with friends on Sept. 21.
