WASHINGTON — Just a few months after opening the Go-Go museum in Anacostia finds itself at a crossroads. Leaders of the museum said it may not be able to sustain programming without additional financial support.
It took nearly $3 million for the Go-Go Museum to open its doors in February, but now they are looking to their community to help raise another $500,000 to help keep them open.
"We had a lot of people who said they were going to help, and then I think America took a shift in how they fund things, and what they fund," said Ron Moten, the co-founder and CEO of the Go-Go museum. "And it left us kind of hanging."
