PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — While President Donald Trump suggested the use of acetaminophen, also known by the brand name Tylenol, should not be taken during pregnancy and may contribute to rising autism rates in the U.S., health care professionals argue there is not enough evidence to support the argument.

"Don't take it. There's no downside in not taking it," Trump said in a news conference on Monday.

Dr. Ashish Jha, the dean of Brown University School of Public Health who also served as the nation's former COVID-19 response advisor, told 12 News on Tuesday that the president's advice was wrong.
